Job Summary

ZS is seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator to join their Enterprise IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, managing, and optimizing containerized applications and cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, AWS ECS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Python/YAML scripting, and microservices-based architecture. The candidate will also mentor new team members and contribute to operational excellence, ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Kubernetes & Container Management:

  • Plan, configure, and manage multiple versions of Kubernetes clusters (EKS).
  • Write and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and configure Kubernetes objects including Deployments, Services, Pods, DaemonSets, Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), Namespaces, and Storage.
  • Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues for optimal uptime and reliability.

• Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps:

  • Deploy microservices-based applications on AWS ECS.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
  • Manage Docker repositories such as ECR and JFrog for container images.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD, TeamCity, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline for cloud-native applications.

• Automation & Scripting:

  • Build and maintain automation scripts using Python, YAML, or similar languages to streamline operational processes.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and deployment workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

• Operational Excellence & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform root cause analysis for escalated issues and provide long-term solutions.
  • Maintain SOPs and documentation for cloud and container operations.
  • Monitor system performance and scalability, providing proactive recommendations for improvements.

• Collaboration & Mentorship:

  • Mentor and train newly joined team members on cloud operations, container deployments, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud strategies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge in writing Helm charts and Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience creating and managing Kubernetes manifests for various resources.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including ECS.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Git, Helm, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, YAML, or similar languages.
  • Deep understanding of container security tools (e.g., WIZ, Snyk, SonarQube).
  • Knowledge of container performance monitoring and scaling policies.
  • Solid Linux skills, particularly related to containerized applications.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive and can-do attitude with ability to work independently.
