About the Role

Zoom is hiring an experienced DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement zero-downtime solutions, ensuring 99.99% service availability and disaster recovery across regional datacenters. This role combines hands-on expertise with Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, ELK stack, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automation tools to deliver highly scalable and resilient systems.

You’ll be part of a dynamic infrastructure team supporting services across Zoom products including notification systems, file systems, and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available (99.99%) systems with zero downtime.
• Build and manage disaster recovery solutions across datacenters.
• Troubleshoot complex production, performance, and availability issues.
• Partner with cloud vendors and internal engineering/security teams.
• Provide deep outage troubleshooting for Zoom backend services.
• Implement CI/CD models, automate deployments, and improve system configuration.
• Work with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and monitoring solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps / SRE experience in Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS, Debian).
• Strong expertise in AWS (Elastic Search, Elastic Cache, DynamoDB, SQS, S3).
• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab).
• Hands-on experience in automation scripting (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of GitOps principles and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid background in monitoring & troubleshooting with ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience in production deployments of Nginx, ETCD, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Bonus: Knowledge of XMPP, BI tools, and performance/load testing tools (JMeter).

Compensation

• Salary Range: $87,600 – $186,000 (based on qualifications, experience, and location).
• Total Direct Compensation includes base pay, bonus, and equity.
