Job Description
Wissen Technology is hiring for the role of Kubernetes & Rancher Administrator. We are looking for a proactive and technically strong professional to manage and maintain our container orchestration infrastructure, especially in on-premises and bare metal environments. The role involves automation, troubleshooting, and participating in a rotational support schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Manage, maintain, and upgrade Rancher clusters across on-premises environments.
• Set up and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, particularly with Rancher on bare metal infrastructure.
• Write and maintain shell scripts to automate Kubernetes and system-related tasks.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve issues in Rancher and K8s environments.
• Participate in rotational shifts (up to 1 AM) for system support and maintenance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Take full ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Rancher, including setup, upgrade, and troubleshooting of Rancher clusters.
• In-depth knowledge and operational experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Proficiency in shell scripting for task automation and K8s operations.
• Solid experience working in on-premises environments, preferably bare metal setups.
• Ability to independently own and deliver tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with Puppet
• Experience with Ansible
