Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer I, you will support the reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure and applications. This is an entry-level role where you will work closely with senior engineers and developers while gaining hands-on experience in automation, cloud technologies, and Infrastructure as Code.

Roles & Responsibilities

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Assist in developing and maintaining IaC scripts using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Follow version control practices for infrastructure configurations
• Support consistent and repeatable environment provisioning

CI/CD

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD
• Assist in automating builds, testing, and deployment processes
• Ensure efficient and reliable release cycles

Cloud Management

• Assist in managing cloud resources on AWS and/or Google Cloud
• Monitor resource utilization
• Support cost optimization initiatives

Monitoring & Alerting

• Help set up and maintain monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Support alert configuration for timely issue resolution

Security & Compliance

• Follow cloud and application security best practices
• Support compliance with industry standards and policies

Troubleshooting & Incident Response

• Assist in diagnosing infrastructure and deployment issues
• Participate in on-call rotation under senior guidance

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering
• Basic proficiency in Python or Bash scripting
• Foundational knowledge of AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker and basic Kubernetes understanding
• Understanding of CI/CD principles
• Exposure to Linux/Unix administration
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Associate Cloud Engineer)
• Experience with Ansible or configuration management tools
• Contributions to open-source or personal infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with Git
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
