About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with 5-7 years of expertise in AWS and GitLab. You will play a key role in integrating security practices into our cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security practices into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain security controls, monitoring, and compliance measures across AWS environments.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
• Monitor and optimize production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for security and operational issues.
• Provide technical guidance on security best practices, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS services.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Cloud DevOps Engineering with a strong focus on AWS and GitLab.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like GitLab and UrbanCode.
• Expertise in Git workflows (branching, merging, pull requests) and GitLab runners for CI/CD.
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, CIS) and compliance standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
