Role Overview

SimplAI is seeking a DevOps Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and building secure, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud environments.

The role involves managing multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes clusters, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability systems. Engineers will work closely with development and AI teams to deploy AI-driven platforms, microservices, and high-performance cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance tuning of cloud environments
• Implement cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure

Infrastructure Automation

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell scripting

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Helm, and Docker
• Automate application deployments and release processes
• Manage artifact repositories and deployment workflows

Containerization & Kubernetes

• Deploy and manage Docker-based container environments
• Operate and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE)
• Implement service mesh architectures using tools like Istio

Monitoring & Observability

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Use tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, and CloudWatch
• Improve system reliability, observability, and incident response processes

Security & Infrastructure Compliance

• Implement secure infrastructure practices including VPN, SSH, and encryption
• Conduct system patching, security audits, and compliance checks
• Ensure secure cloud networking and access control

Troubleshooting & Operations

• Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues
• Perform root cause analysis and incident management
• Maintain operational continuity and platform stability

Technical Skills Required

Linux & System Administration

• 1–3 years of experience with Linux system administration
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux server environments

Cloud Platforms

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure management

Containerization & Orchestration

• Experience with Docker containerization
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes cluster management

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Helm, Docker, and Artifactory
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and automation

Programming & Automation

• Experience with Python, Shell scripting, or other programming languages (Java, Ruby, Node.js)

Application Infrastructure

• Experience managing NGINX, HAProxy, Apache, and load balancers
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

Databases

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Knowledge of database backup, scaling, and performance tuning

Monitoring & Observability

• Experience using Prometheus, Zabbix, CloudWatch, and New Relic

Security

• Strong understanding of secure infrastructure practices
• Experience with VPNs, encryption, and SSH security
