Internship Overview

This internship is ideal for candidates passionate about systems engineering, automation, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to real-world production environments, monitoring, automation, and incident management while working closely with experienced SREs and development teams.

6-Month Internship Accomplishments

• Gain deep understanding of Poshmark’s technology stack, infrastructure, and core platform
• Learn SRE fundamentals: monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident response
• Hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools
• Contribute to automation scripts, dashboards, and internal tools
• Work on small-scale engineering projects under senior mentorship
• Observe on-call and incident management workflows (no primary on-call responsibility)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring health, performance, and availability of production services
• Support deployment, maintenance, and improvement of cloud infrastructure
• Create and update dashboards, alerts, and runbooks
• Participate in basic production troubleshooting and post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application behavior
• Follow best practices for reliability, security, and automation
• Document tools, processes, and learnings for team knowledge sharing

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems
• Familiarity with Python, Ruby, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong interest in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure careers
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
• Good problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
