Poshmark is seeking a passionate Software Engineer I to join their Cloud Platform team. This role is ideal for candidates excited to architect, build, and manage scalable server-side applications while collaborating closely with design, product, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, iterate, and manage server codebase with focus on high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, intuitive applications.
- Own critical product components with high internal and external visibility.
- Innovate and envision new features that add value and simplicity.
- Solve complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions.
6-Month Goals:
- Integrate smoothly into Team Poshmark and build strong working relationships.
- Gain proficiency in Poshmark’s Cloud Platform and infrastructure.
- Make meaningful user-facing improvements and build new features.
12+ Month Goals:
- Propose and implement enhancements to the server codebase.
- Contribute to core infrastructure to accelerate feature development and reduce boilerplate code.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Proficiency with languages and technologies such as Ruby, JRuby, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.
- Experience with databases and tools like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Preferred experience with Amazon AWS or other cloud platforms.
- A user-centric approach with a passion for quality.
