Role Overview

Pixint is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud & Ubuntu Linux Server Administrator to manage and maintain cloud-hosted infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, security, and SLA compliance for production systems running on AWS.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS services, Linux server administration, monitoring tools, and infrastructure performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS EC2 instances running Ubuntu Linux
• Manage and optimize AWS MySQL RDS databases
• Configure and maintain AWS Application Load Balancers

Monitoring & Performance

• Monitor system health using AWS CloudWatch
• Track uptime and performance using Zoho Site24x7
• Ensure infrastructure availability and SLA compliance

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Perform regular server and database backups
• Validate backup integrity and recovery processes
• Maintain disaster recovery readiness

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering:

• Website performance
• Server performance
• Uptime and downtime analysis
• Resource utilization trends

System Maintenance

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Perform root cause analysis and apply patches/updates
• Implement Ubuntu Linux server hardening and security best practices

Documentation

• Maintain detailed system documentation and operational procedures

Required Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS Services

• EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
• MySQL RDS (Relational Database Service)
• Application Load Balancer
• CloudWatch monitoring

Operating Systems

• Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux administration

Monitoring Tools

• AWS CloudWatch
• Zoho Site24x7

Scripting

• Basic scripting knowledge in Bash / Shell scripting

Infrastructure Management

• Backup automation and recovery processes
• SLA-based infrastructure support
