The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will focus on security solutions to harden cloud infrastructure, working closely with the Security and Engineering teams. You will influence security roadmaps and help design, develop, and deploy security solutions across Okta's infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Build, run, and monitor Okta's production infrastructure
• Evangelize security best practices and lead initiatives to improve security
• Respond to production incidents and implement preventive measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to ensure reliability
• Automate manual processes and improve monitoring tools
• Promote best practices for building scalable and reliable services
• Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures
• Support a 24x7 online environment as part of an on-call rotation

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience architecting and running AWS or other cloud networking infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience with Chef and Terraform
• Strong Linux understanding and experience
• Security background with knowledge of IAM, containerized services, and cloud platforms
• Proficiency with CI/CD principles, OS hardening, and networking concepts
• Experience with tools like Nessus, Qualys, OSQuery, Splunk
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and secrets management

Bonus Skills:

• Experience conducting threat assessments and vulnerability assessments in high-availability environments
• Familiarity with MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch
