Role Overview

The Associate DevOps Engineer role is an entry-level DevOps and platform engineering position designed for early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and software delivery practices.

Working under general supervision, this role supports internal teams by translating business requirements into technical solutions, assisting with application deployment, and contributing to the design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software systems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Platform Specialists and engineering teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Assist in converting functional requirements into technical design documents, flowcharts, and system diagrams.
• Support the design and implementation of software solutions and DevOps workflows.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Assist with application deployment and release management across multiple environments.
• Support production systems in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Help document development procedures, deployment steps, and security standards.
• Assist with identifying and resolving application and deployment issues.
• Support automation initiatives using scripting and DevOps tooling.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and DevOps methodologies.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and platform engineering concepts.
• Entry-level knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Familiarity with source code repositories and version control systems.
• Basic exposure to automation tools and scripting languages.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Awareness of multi-technology environments, including applications, databases, operating systems, and infrastructure.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications
