Role Summary

Netomi is hiring a DevOps Engineer – I to collaborate closely with software engineering teams and ensure reliable deployment, monitoring, and scalability of cloud-based production systems. This role focuses on Kubernetes administration, CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure management, and system reliability engineering in a modern DevOps environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, security, and performance across distributed systems supporting enterprise applications.


Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes & Container Orchestration

  • Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Implement RBAC policies, access controls, and security best practices.
  • Optimize cluster performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage containerized workloads using Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.

CI/CD Automation & Release Engineering

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, or similar tools.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to reduce release cycles.
  • Improve software delivery reliability across cloud-native microservices.

Helm & Configuration Management

  • Develop, version, and optimize Helm templates for Kubernetes deployments.
  • Implement standardized deployment strategies for multiple environments.

Service Mesh & Observability

  • Integrate and manage service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
  • Enable traffic management, service discovery, load balancing, and secure communication.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and tracing for distributed systems.

Automation & Scripting

  • Write automation scripts using Python, Golang, or Ruby.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, alerting, and debugging workflows.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for cloud resource management.

Reliability & Resilience Engineering (Bonus)

  • Apply chaos engineering practices to validate system resilience.
  • Simulate infrastructure and application failures to improve production stability.
  • Enhance system fault tolerance and disaster recovery readiness.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (RBAC, cluster administration, Helm).
  • Proven experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon ECS and Terraform (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Linux systems, networking, and distributed system design.

Programming & Scripting

  • Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Ruby.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable automation scripts.

Cloud Platforms

  • Experience with AWS, with exposure to GCP or Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with chaos engineering tools such as Chaos Monkey, LitmusChaos, or Gremlin.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and service reliability engineering (SRE).
  • Knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
