Role: DevOps Engineer – I

Netomi is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work closely with software engineering teams to deploy, operate, and maintain highly available systems. This role focuses on Kubernetes, CI/CD, Automation, Service Mesh, and Infrastructure-as-Code, ensuring smooth platform performance and continuous monitoring.


Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes Management

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
  • Configure and enforce RBAC policies and access control.
  • Optimize cluster performance, security, and scalability.

CI/CD Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, or similar.
  • Automate deployment processes to reduce lead time and improve release cycles.

Helm Templates

  • Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes applications.
  • Manage versioning, rollout strategies, and templating best practices.

Service Mesh Implementation

  • Integrate and manage service meshes like Istio or Linkerd.
  • Implement observability, traffic routing, and secure service communication.

Scripting & Automation

  • Write automation scripts using Python, Ruby, or Golang.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and infrastructure debugging.

(Bonus) Chaos & Resilience Engineering

  • Implement chaos engineering practices to improve resiliency.
  • Use tools like Chaos Monkey, LitmusChaos, Gremlin for failure simulation.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or similar role.

Tools & Technologies

  • Kubernetes (RBAC, Helm, Cluster Admin).
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker.
  • Service Mesh: Istio, Linkerd, or equivalent.
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Amazon ECS and Terraform.

Skills

  • Strong scripting experience in Python, Ruby, Golang.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Understanding of system design, networking, and infrastructure architecture.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with chaos engineering tools: Chaos Monkey, LitmusChaos, Gremlin.
