Job Description:
Molex is looking for a Graduate Engineer Trainee to join their Product Design and Development team. The selected candidate will support Signal Integrity Activities for customer and product design engineers in developing high-speed micro connectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to design and optimize high-speed micro interconnects.
- Use 3D field solvers like HFSS, SIwave to analyze connector performance.
- Generate signal integrity evaluation reports and technical documentation for internal and customer use.
- Provide technical support regarding interconnect products and applications.
- Direct the PCB layout team in designing test boards for signal integrity characterization.
- Stay updated with industry trends in high-speed connector requirements.
- Discover new techniques in signal integrity modeling, design, and verification.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of Electromagnetic Theory and Transmission Line Theory.
- Proficiency in Time Domain and Frequency Domain concepts.
- Basic knowledge of high-speed standards like PCIe, USB, MIPI, DP, HDMI, etc.
- Familiarity with Ansys HFSS, SIwave, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-driven with eagerness to learn and adapt to organizational needs.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong academic performance in engineering subjects.
- Hands-on projects related to electromagnetics.
- Knowledge of Python scripting for automation and optimization.
