Role Overview

Metapercept is looking for a passionate DevOps Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to modern DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, and CI/CD automation workflows.

The intern will support the engineering team in maintaining continuous integration pipelines, infrastructure monitoring systems, and automated deployment environments. This role offers exposure to real-world cloud environments, containerized applications, and DevOps toolchains, helping candidates develop strong skills in infrastructure management and automation engineering.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps tools
• Support automation of infrastructure and deployment processes
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Assist in containerization using Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Support server monitoring, logging, and infrastructure performance analysis
• Help troubleshoot deployment, server, and DevOps pipeline issues
• Assist in Linux server administration and system configuration
• Document DevOps workflows, deployment processes, and system configurations
• Collaborate with development teams to improve software release cycles and deployment reliability

Technical Skills Required

Linux & System Administration

• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Familiarity with command-line tools and server environments

DevOps & CI/CD

• Knowledge of DevOps lifecycle and CI/CD automation pipelines
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

Containerization & Cloud

• Basic understanding of Docker containerization
• Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Programming & Scripting

• Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python
• Ability to automate simple DevOps tasks and deployment processes
