Job Description

Logitech, a world leader in personal peripherals, is seeking a skilled and driven Front-End Software Engineer to design and develop web-based, next-generation software solutions. As part of our Desktop Experiences team, you will build intuitive user interfaces and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to redefine how users interact with technology.

Your Contribution:

• Feature Development: Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to build and enhance user-facing features using modern web technologies like JavaScript, React, Redux, and the Electron framework.
• Maintainable Codebase: Develop reusable front-end components, tools, and libraries for complex web applications.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure responsive designs and optimize components for high performance across multiple browsers and devices.
• UI Framework: Shape and extend UI frameworks for exceptional applications that work with real-time data.
• Problem Solving: Solve challenging problems while maintaining the highest standards of software quality and usability.
• Scalable Solutions: Design front-end architectures that uphold scalability and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented front-end code.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Work with REST APIs and manage data flows using JSON to ensure robust front-end/backend integration.
• Contribute to developing cross-platform applications with Electron.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging front-end technologies and integrate new tools or frameworks when necessary.

Your Skills & Background

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong understanding of front-end design principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and state management tools like Redux.
• Proven track record of designing and building high-quality front-end software for web or desktop applications.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs and working with JSON data formats.
• Familiarity with common front-end build tools like Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Electron framework for cross-platform desktop application development.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and experience collaborating with Product Designers.
• Ability to write clean and secure code adhering to industry standards.
