Role Overview

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization efforts. You’ll manage system data, provide security compliance solutions, and collaborate across teams to deliver the best experience to our clients.

Each day brings new challenges—whether solving complex problems, managing operational queues, or recommending modernization strategies across industries like banking and retail.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular OS management tasks (Linux, Windows).
• Handle OS installation, updates, configuration, upgrades, patch management, and hardening.
• Manage user accounts, load monitoring, OS tuning, and log analysis.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage file systems (creation, maintenance, mounting, unmounting).
• Coordinate and close IS Audit/VAPT/RBI Audit/ISO audit observations.
• Monitor server thresholds, logs, and system performance.
• Prepare and submit detailed upgrade plans.
• Collaborate with various application teams for OS troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in System Administration (Linux/Windows).
• Certification in domain expertise (Linux/Windows preferred).
• Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 implementation and management.
• VMware ESX experience.
• Experience with public/private cloud management and cloud migration.

Preferred Skills

• Automation experience (especially Infrastructure as Code - IaaS).
• Red Hat Linux Certification.
• Vulnerability management experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and federation services.
