Master’s or Doctorate degree in VLSI Design, Electronics, Computer Science Engineering, or relevant specializations in Hardware.
Job Description:
IBM is hiring a Hardware/Software Intern to work in the India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), contributing to the development of next-generation processors powering IBM Z Systems (Mainframe) and IBM Power Systems. This internship offers hands-on experience with the latest chip technologies, including 5nm and 3nm designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Logic Design, Analog Circuits, Physical Design, Verification, Pre & Post Silicon Validation, Custom Layout, Memory, EDA, and Library Characterization.
- Contribute to E2E ASIC & SOC design and processor development.
- Participate in processor verification, validation, and debugging.
- Develop algorithms for verification and design tools (EDA).
- Gain experience in processor architecture and performance tuning.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Digital Logic Design and Computer Architecture.
- Experience with RISC-V or other processor pipelines.
- Understanding of VLSI design flow and custom circuits.
- Experience in Analog, Digital Logic Design, and Memory Technologies.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python/Perl for verification and validation tasks.
