HSBC is hiring a Cloud DevOps / Consultant Specialist (GCP DevOps Engineer) in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This full-time hybrid role focuses on designing, engineering, and managing cloud foundation platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using modern DevOps and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage HSBC’s GCP foundation platform to support enterprise application deployments.
• Engineer solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and maintain centralized cloud services including:
  • IAM
  • Networking
  • Logging
  • OS & Container Services
• Ensure full compliance with Cloud Security, Operational Risk, and Governance Standards.
• Maintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and support runbooks.
• Implement Change Management processes as per HSBC standards.
• Work in a 24×7 rotational on-call support model for production environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience building cloud services in a major cloud platform (GCP preferred).
• Strong programming experience in Python or other backend development languages.
• Hands-on experience with automation using:
  • Python
  • Ansible
  • Bash Scripting
• Proficiency in DevOps & CI/CD tools:
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Git
  • Jenkins
• Experience with Terraform infrastructure creation, module design, and state management.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with application teams and global IT groups.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into clear, meaningful information.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation and cloud innovation.
