Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer / Software Engineer at HSBC, you’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment, ensuring the quality and reliability of product environments. You’ll help deploy new dynamic platforms, manage global requests, and maintain cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a cross-functional product team to ensure optimal environment performance.
• Develop, deploy, and manage AWS services (VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, etc.).
• Use tools like Jenkins, GitHub, AppDynamics, and Splunk for CI/CD and automation.
• Champion new ideas and methods for software engineering and DevOps processes.
• Troubleshoot application issues promptly and ensure continuous integration and deployment.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements

• Proficient in one of the following languages: Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Python.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud (VPC, CloudFront, Lambda, S3) or other cloud environments.
• Experience with agile development tools like Git, JIRA, and Terraform.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
