About the Job:
HSBC is hiring a seasoned AWS Cloud - SRE/DevOps Engineer to join its global technology team. As part of the Open Banking Cloud initiative, this role focuses on automating and building resilient infrastructure in AWS using DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Configure AWS security and cloud services (IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, API Gateway, Route 53, etc.)
• Implement logging and monitoring using CloudWatch, Splunk, and AppDynamics
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to 24/7 production support (on-call rotation)
• Build tools to reduce toil and automate manual operations
• Collaborate with SRE leads and analysts to deliver reusable infrastructure solutions

Required Skills:

• AWS DevOps: EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, Route 53, API Gateway
• CI/CD Automation: Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform
• Programming & Scripting: Python, Shell, Node.js
• Linux Server Administration: Nginx, Squid
• Networking: CIDR blocks, Subnets, NACLs, Load Balancing
• Logging and monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics
• Familiarity with ALM tools like Jira and Confluence

Bonus Skills (Preferred):

• Banking Domain Knowledge
• Understanding of IAAS, PAAS, FAAS concepts
• Application clustering and high availability systems
