Role Details
Position: Software Engineer I (DevOps - Fresher)
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: Freshers / Entry-Level
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Automate operational tasks using Python scripting
- Manage repositories and workflows using GitHub (branching, PRs, releases)
- Create and manage build, test, and deployment pipelines
- Assist with monitoring, logging, and incident troubleshooting
- Collaborate with developers to improve deployment reliability
- Maintain documentation (runbooks, pipeline docs, deployment guides)
- Follow security best practices (secrets management, least privilege access)
Technical Skills Required
Programming & Automation
- Basic knowledge of Python programming
- Ability to write simple automation scripts
DevOps & CI/CD
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Build, Test, Deploy stages)
- Exposure to GitHub Actions (workflows, runners, jobs, artifacts)
Version Control
- Hands-on experience with GitHub (repositories, branches, pull requests)
- Understanding of code reviews and version control workflows
Linux & Systems
- Basic knowledge of Linux (files, permissions, commands)
- Understanding of system operations and environments
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to learn DevOps and cloud technologies
- Attention to detail and documentation skills
