Job Description:

New Relic is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to develop backend services, data pipelines, and observability tools. The role involves building scalable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working with a modern tech stack including Go, Java, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Software Development: Design, build, and maintain backend services.
✔ Scalability & Automation: Implement automation and tooling for system scalability.
✔ Tech Research: Explore new technologies and propose new features.
✔ Cross-Team Collaboration: Work in a DevOps environment with a multidisciplinary team.
✔ Performance & Optimization: Improve distributed systems and microservices.

Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
✅ 2+ years of experience in software engineering (Java, Go).
✅ Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
✅ Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP.
✅ Passion for new technologies, problem-solving, and observability tools.
✅ Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

⭐ Contributions to open-source projects.
⭐ Experience with GraphQL, React, or asynchronous programming.
⭐ Background in technical mentorship or team leadership.
⭐ Knowledge of CI/CD, build automation, and DevOps practices.
