What You’ll Do:

Database Development & Maintenance

✅ Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
✅ Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
✅ Implement scalable, reliable, and secure database solutions.

Insurance Domain Expertise

✅ Collaborate with business analysts and clients for insurance-specific processes (claims processing, policy management, underwriting, and reinsurance).
✅ Develop data models and database solutions to support insurance applications.

Data Management & Integration

✅ Design and implement ETL processes for data migration, integration, and reporting.
✅ Work with data architects and various data sources (policy management systems, claims systems, etc.).

Support & Maintenance

✅ Provide production support, troubleshoot database issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
✅ Perform database monitoring, tuning, and maintenance for system reliability.

Collaboration & Documentation

✅ Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
✅ Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
✔ Strong understanding of the insurance domain (claims processing, policy lifecycle, reinsurance).
✔ Proficient in PL/SQL programming, SQL tuning, and database optimization.
✔ Experience with data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
✔ Familiarity with Oracle database tools (SQL*Loader, Partitioning).
✔ Experience with Git and version control systems.
✔ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
✔ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

➕ Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
➕ Knowledge of Python or Java for integrations.
➕ Experience with ETL tools, reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI), and CI/CD environments.
➕ Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate).
➕ Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (Oracle Cloud, Snowflake).
