Job Overview:
We are looking for a Software Engineer I who will work remotely from India to design, code, and configure moderate complexity software features and solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, debug, and configure solutions for Agile stories
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests
- Provide source code management, architecture input, and code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and support team decision-making
- Use object-oriented programming languages like Java or .NET
- Work with XML, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and relational databases
- Understand and apply Agile practices in SDLC
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field
- 4–6+ years of software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Java or .NET, relational DBs, XML/XSLT
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, source control (Git, etc.)
- Experience with Duck Creek Policy / Billing / Claims / Engagement / Data Insights is a huge plus
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills
Bonus Skills (Good to Have):
- Domain knowledge of the insurance industry
- Experience with SaaS platforms
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines
