Job Summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support AI/ML initiatives across product development and business workflows. This role focuses on MLOps, cloud infrastructure, Generative AI tools, and cross-functional collaboration to align with organizational goals. You will be responsible for optimizing DevOps processes, building scalable ML infrastructure, and improving productivity through automation and cloud technologies.

Major Responsibilities

• Implement DevOps best practices to enhance development and deployment processes and maintain documentation.
• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
• Support DevOps maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Agile methodologies to streamline workflow and team collaboration.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based development environments.
• Design and implement AI/ML infrastructure on AWS/Azure ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Build MLOps pipelines including model training, validation, and deployment using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to support ML workflow implementation.
• Implement robust security practices for ML infrastructure and enterprise data.
• Analyze technical alternatives and execute Proof of Concepts for validation prior to implementation.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and MLOps roles.
• Strong scripting experience with Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with AWS tools: SageMaker, CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with open-source MLOps tools: MLflow, Kubeflow, TensorFlow Extended (TFX).
• Experience with Generative AI tools and frameworks.
• Working knowledge of ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Understanding of data management, ETL processes, and large-scale datasets.
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in teams.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, methodologies, and technologies.

Desired Skills

• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
