Job Description:

As a Virtualization Engineer, you will work on creating virtualized platforms for deploying hardware-agnostic grid innovation applications. This role will help develop state-of-the-art models and deploy them on edge or cloud-based systems, collaborating with various teams to leverage virtualized systems for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement virtualization solutions to meet business needs.
• Deploy Windows and Linux VMs on various hardware platforms and hypervisors (e.g., EsXi, KVM).
• Develop dashboards to visualize and analyze data from application runs.
• Implement and maintain security policies for virtualized environments.
• Develop tools to measure system performance and execution timings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Complete assigned tasks within required timelines and document the process.

Qualifications:

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with DevOps, Ansible, and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Xen).
• Strong programming skills in C, Python, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, bash).
• Expertise in Docker, microservices architecture, and troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark and TCPDump.
• Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and VMware environments.
• Understanding of industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).

• Ability to document and explain design, architecture, and logic clearly.
• Experience in power systems programming and industrial automation tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW).
