Job Summary
Join GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions team and help electrify the world with cutting-edge technologies. As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll work in an Agile Scrum environment, contributing to the manual testing and quality assurance of advanced energy grid solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation
- Collaborate with PMs, developers, and UX/UI to ensure test coverage
- Execute manual testing for firmware and CIC products
- Use tools like JIRA for bug tracking and test management
- Maintain software/firmware artifacts and release documentation
- Capture debug output and logs to assist development
- Continuously improve QA test execution efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Computer Science
- 1+ years of manual firmware/software testing
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of embedded systems, Linux/RTOS environments
- Experience with tools:
- PyCharm, Robot Framework, Selenium, Jenkins
- HP ALM, JIRA, Rally, CI/CD Pipelines
- Understanding of mechanical/electronic systems
- Familiar with industrial protocols: DNP3, CAN, Modbus
- Ability to use oscilloscopes and signal generators
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and modern QA tools
