Role Overview

This role provides Level 1.5 operational support across Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers, along with mission-critical enterprise applications. The position requires monitoring, batch operations, incident handling, and proactive system analysis in a 24x7 global production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system health and execute operational tasks within a 24/7 processing environment.
• Detect abnormal processing events and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Follow escalation procedures and collaborate with senior engineers for resolution.
• Utilize documentation for troubleshooting and identify areas needing updates.
• Work with team leads to stabilize processes and reduce redundant alerts.
• Contribute to automation of repetitive operational tasks.
• Respond to alerts, system messages, incident tickets, and inbound client queries.
• Maintain strong client communication and serve as a bridge between internal teams.
• Analyze recurring patterns to prevent future incidents.
• Participate in internal/external infrastructure projects and operational improvements.
• Develop new documentation, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles.

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in Windows and Linux/Unix batch operations in rotational or 24/7 shifts.
• Understanding of FIS products, financial services workflows, and open systems.
• Experience with operational tools:
  • IBM Omnibus, NetXMS, Zenoss
  • Zena or Control-M Batch Scheduling
  • ITSM tools: ServiceNow (SNOW), CMS
• Strong understanding of Wintel and Linux environments.
• Good proficiency in batch operations, job monitoring, and incident response.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet process deadlines.
• Ability to influence and recommend improvements to technical processes.
