Process Brief
Analytical and Trading Engineering delivers FactSet’s industry-leading Portfolio, Risk, Quantitative, and Fixed Income products, helping thousands of asset managers make investment decisions, manage risk, and analyze performance.
Sub-Process Brief
The Fixed Income Engineering Group is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting tools required by Product Development to deliver high-quality analytics to clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy software features to end users
- Participate in training and code review sessions
- Communicate with product developers, engineering peers, and managers
- Plan projects and deliver expected solutions
- Respond to bugs and product requests
- Participate in design discussions and brainstorm new features
- Demonstrate product proficiency and contribute to future direction
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of industry experience
- Strong professional experience in Python
- Strong experience with JavaScript
- Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design
- Experience with multi-tier web architectures and RESTful services (plus)
- Familiarity with development best practices
- Willingness to participate in code reviews and maintain documentation
- Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical
- Team collaboration across geographies
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
