The Team

The Core Benchmarks team builds and maintains data pipelines and tools that power FactSet’s index data systems. It collaborates closely with other departments to ensure product responsiveness to client needs. The team operates in two-week agile sprints.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand and maintain the team’s infrastructure
• Deliver effective technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices
• Collaborate across teams for product delivery
• Ensure reliability and performance of deployed solutions
• Write high-quality, maintainable code
• Support deployed systems through on-call rotations

Required Skills / Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field
• 1–3 years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Bash
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of Git and version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Self-driven and well-organized

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python modules (e.g., Selenium)
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
• Exposure to Agile methodologies
