Role Details

Position: L1 & L2 Networking Engineer
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time
Certification: CCNA – Mandatory | CCNP – Preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network and system health using monitoring tools
• Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests using ticketing tools
• Troubleshoot network issues related to connectivity, performance, and availability
• Configure, support, and maintain routing and switching environments
• Perform basic firewall configuration and troubleshooting (policies, NAT, interfaces)
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and external support teams
• Maintain documentation, configuration records, and operational logs
• Provide on-site support at customer locations when required

Technical Skills Required

Routing & Switching Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, VLANs, and Trunking
• Basic STP and routing concepts
• DNS, DHCP, NAT knowledge

Wireless & Access Points

• Basic configuration and troubleshooting of Access Points
• SSID and Wi-Fi security (WPA2/WPA3)
• Channel and power level configuration
• Troubleshooting connectivity, coverage, and interference issues

Firewall & Systems

• Basic firewall configuration and troubleshooting
• Basic Windows and Linux OS troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with ticketing and monitoring tools

Soft Skills

• Willingness to travel and work from client sites as per project requirements
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Education & Certification

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc in IT, Computer Science, or Networking
• CCNA Certification (Mandatory)
• CCNP knowledge or exposure (Preferred)
