About the Role:

As a Staff Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining public and private cloud infrastructures, as well as supporting Kubernetes container platforms. You will work with both Azure and AWS, contributing to cloud automation, configuration, and software development support, while providing expertise on infrastructure deployment methods early in the development lifecycle.

You’ll also be required to travel to regional sites as needed and be available for on-call support (rota-based).

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Developing:

  • Design and improve cloud fabric (Public & Private).
  • Develop and enhance Kubernetes container platforms.
  • Assist software development teams with cloud deployment methodologies.
  • Provide cloud and container expertise to internal teams.

• Supporting:

  • Proactively manage public and private cloud platforms (Azure & AWS).
  • Oversee Kubernetes platform management.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support to business units.
  • Assist in onboarding new tenants and businesses.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Must-have:

  • Strong public cloud skills, especially in Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
  • Excellent scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, and Puppet.
  • Experience with cloud automation, container orchestration, and configuration management.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of system components and operating systems (Windows Server, RHEL/CentOS 7.x, Ubuntu).

• Desirable:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Gitlab.
  • Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture and Microservices (REST).
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks like ISO 27001, ITIL, and Prince2.
  • Familiarity with NewRelic for performance monitoring and metric analysis.
