Role Summary
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll manage security controls in EQ’s AWS environment, respond to incidents, and drive secure CI/CD practices. You’ll work with cutting-edge AWS tools and integrate DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure and manage AWS Security tools: GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Config, CloudTrail, Shield Advanced, WAF, Macie, etc.
- Lead responses to multi-team security events
- Embed security within SDLC and DevSecOps practices
- Automate security testing and vulnerability scanning in CI/CD pipelines
- Stay updated on threats and best practices in cloud security
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Deep AWS security experience across Cloud, Network, Infrastructure, Application, IAM, and Data
- Hands-on with AWS tools: IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, WAF, Inspector, etc.
- Incident response experience, log analysis, and forensics in AWS
- Integration of SAST/DAST (e.g., Checkov, SonarQube, AppScan)
- CI/CD security automation and tools like Qualys
- Familiarity with security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST800-53, GDPR, CIS, etc.
- Core AWS services knowledge: Lambda, EC2, S3, VPC, ECS, Route 53, etc.
- Container security controls
- Strong cross-functional communication
- AWS Security certifications are a plus
