Position Summary

Zoetis is seeking a Global Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery (DR) solutions for critical infrastructure systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring business continuity through effective DR planning and execution, including risk assessments, recovery strategies, and incident response.

Position Responsibilities

Disaster Recovery Design (45%)

• Design and implement advanced DR solutions using cloud technologies, virtualization, and automation tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical systems and data requiring recovery solutions

Testing and Validation (30%)

• Assist with executing quarterly/ad-hoc DR drills and simulations with business continuity and compliance teams
• Improve DR solutions based on test findings

Incident Response and Recovery (10%)

• Lead recovery efforts during infrastructure outages or disasters, ensuring rapid restoration of systems

Training and Awareness (15%)

• Provide training on DR protocols and procedures to IT teams and business units
• Promote DR technology awareness across the organization

Education & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer, Business Continuity Certified Planner) are a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in disaster recovery or infrastructure engineering
• Proven expertise in developing DR architecture for large-scale global organizations

Technical Skills Requirements

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems (servers, storage, networks, AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in backup/recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Zerto, Azure Backup)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Position Requirements

• Ability to work globally and occasionally outside business hours for critical deployments or issues
• 0-5% travel may be required (Tuesday to Thursday in-office)
