Internship Role Overview
Wabtec is hiring bright and passionate individuals for its Software Engineer Internship in Bengaluru. If you're excited to work on real-world projects in C++, DevOps, and modern CI/CD systems, this opportunity is for you!
🔧 Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, and validation of software applications and tools.
- Work alongside DevOps and Engineering teams to automate CI/CD pipelines.
- Learn and apply containerization (Docker), GitLab CI/CD, and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Support the setup and deployment of cloud-based development environments.
- Document implementation details and follow software engineering best practices.
✅ Required Skills
- Good understanding of Linux systems and networking
- Basic knowledge of:
- GitLab, Docker, Bash, Python
- C++ build tools like CMake and Conan
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
- Passion for learning modern DevOps and software tools
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
🔍 Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) tools like Jira or Polarion
- Understanding of version control: SVN, Git, Bitbucket
