About This Role

The Customer Engineering team is a group of highly technical engineers responsible for maintaining and developing the reliability, scalability, and performance of the service to different enterprise customers. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll work to proactively monitor, automate, and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and performs at the highest standards.


What You'll Do

  • Identify and investigate customer performance problems, recommend and prioritize remediation actions, and assess effectiveness.
  • Participate in product design, focusing on reliability and availability.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the service’s reliability and performance through better system design.
  • Automate manual activities, striving for highly automated, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams (Technical Account Managers, Program Teams) to prioritize customer issues.
  • Lead monitoring and automation initiatives.
  • Create and present performance reports for technical and management stakeholders.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to communicate and prioritize service-impacting issues.
  • Reproduce and test customer issues in the lab environment.
  • Develop automated scripts and tools to enable monitoring of the service.
  • Be part of on-call rotations to ensure continuous service reliability.

What You’ll Need

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Operations or Product Support.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages, especially Python.
  • Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, IPSEC, VPN, NAT, Routing Protocols, AAA.
  • Ability to understand large, complex systems and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Splunk, Kibana).
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer rapport, both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%).

Bonus Points

  • Experience analyzing data for operational efficiencies.
  • Telecom or wireless network experience.
  • Experience in a DevOps/SRE workflow.
  • Knowledge of Satcom technology.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Big Query.
