Job Description
Veralto is looking for a Data Scientist Trainee with a passion for computer vision and OCR (Optical Character Recognition). This is a unique opportunity to work alongside AI/ML professionals on real-world projects that leverage deep learning and image processing. If you're enthusiastic about solving complex data problems and want hands-on experience, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop computer vision and OCR models using PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Preprocess and annotate image datasets for model training and evaluation
- Fine-tune existing deep learning models for improved performance
- Conduct experiments and document technical findings
- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists for deployment and monitoring
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or similar
- Understanding of image processing, CNNs, or transformer models
- Experience with Python and libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Passion for AI, computer vision, and real-world problem solving
