About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Valtech, you will work for leading brands within the Retail practice. You will thrive in a challenging, international environment, collaborating closely with other experts and supporting digital innovation across projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement Oracle Xstore Suite Infrastructure and Oracle database installations.
• Develop YAML-based workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Build and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Create scripts in Python, PowerShell, and Batch for automation.
• Develop Ansible playbooks and manage them with AWX.
• Administer and troubleshoot Application Servers like WebLogic and Tomcat.
• Windows server administration and issue troubleshooting.

Daily Tasks:

• Manage daily builds and branching operations.
• Develop batch/PowerShell scripts for Xstore development automation.
• Monitor pipeline failures, maintain CMDB, release notes, and builds.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues' root causes.
• Install and troubleshoot XOffice and XStore environments in non-production systems.
• Interact with clients and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience in DevOps, including at least 3 years in the following areas:
  • Oracle Xstore Suite infrastructure and database installation
  • GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible (AWX), Python/PowerShell scripting
  • Application server management (WebLogic, Tomcat)
  • Windows administration and troubleshooting
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
