Sutherland, a global leader in Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Cloud Engineering, and Digital Transformation, is hiring a Linux Administrator in Hyderabad, India.
This role requires strong expertise in Linux systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization, enterprise storage, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will support mission-critical environments across global clients and work with modern technologies to optimize performance, cost, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage Linux servers in enterprise and cloud environments.
• Automate system administration and deployment tasks using Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, and Git.
• Design and implement IaC (Infrastructure as Code) for automated provisioning of cloud resources.
• Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective measures for system or storage incidents.
• Administer enterprise storage systems: HPE 3PAR, NetApp, Pure Storage, IBM, and Veritas NetBackup.
• Work with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, and Xen.
• Monitor and optimize cloud usage and costs using automation and right-sizing techniques.
• Configure and manage monitoring/logging tools: Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK, New Relic.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and service issues across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure security compliance: patching, hardening, configuration management.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and support maintenance windows.
• Maintain and update documentation for systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SMB, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SNMP.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization: VMware, KVM, Xen.
• Cloud platform expertise: AWS (Azure is a plus).
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup systems, and cloud cost optimization.
• Proficiency in automation and IaC using Bash, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
