### Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable performance and correctness testing systems
• Contribute to product design reviews with focus on functionality and testability
• Develop and run manual and automated tests for distributed systems
• Build test automation tools using Playwright, Selenium, and Pytest
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Act as DRI for issue resolution and monitoring production quality
• Apply distributed systems expertise to QA for cloud-native databases
• Perform code reviews and promote quality engineering best practices
• Continuously improve QA strategies, tools, and processes

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Python, C/C++, SQL
• Strong Linux command-line and scripting knowledge
• Experience in building test systems for large-scale distributed applications
• Familiarity with distributed databases, networks, CI/CD workflows
• CI/CD experience: CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• Strong debugging and system analysis skills

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Cypress, TestRail, or Pytest
• Kubernetes and container orchestration understanding
• API testing using Postman or Swagger; performance tools like Locust or JMeter
• Understanding of observability and monitoring tools
• Experience with QA design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model)
• Prior experience in formal QA/test methodology
