Job Description:
RSM is seeking a skilled Database Engineer with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and cloud platforms to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for professionals aiming for high-paying IT roles involving advanced database administration, performance tuning, and cloud database management. You will support and optimize enterprise database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide level 3 support and operational maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments including Dev, QA, and Production
• Monitor database health, perform troubleshooting, and configure alerts for performance issues
• Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and management to ensure seamless database operations
• Participate in disaster recovery, system maintenance, and on-call rotations
• Administer MS Azure SQL Server and work with Public Cloud offerings (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
• Utilize scripting skills (PowerShell, Terraform) to automate database infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years IT experience with at least 2 years as a Database Administrator specializing in MS SQL Server
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities for complex database environments
• Experience with cloud database services and Azure SQL Server administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field
• MS SQL Certifications
• Experience with scripting languages and Azure DevOps methodologies
• Familiarity with IT development (.NET, C#)
