Role Overview
Rakuten Symphony is hiring a Cloud Support Engineer with strong expertise in Linux, automation, DevOps tools, and cloud platforms. You’ll be part of the Cloud Business Unit ensuring system stability, automation, testing, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks and runbooks
- Deploy and upgrade cloud platforms for enterprise clients
- Handle incident response, RCA, and performance tuning
- Write and execute test suites for product releases
- Collaborate with engineering for bug fixes and feature improvements
- Document system configurations and support operations
Mandatory Certifications
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
- RHCSA or RHCE (Red Hat Certified)
- Availability to work 24x7 rotational shifts
Required Skills
- Strong Linux System Administration skills
- Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell scripting
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Hands-on with Docker & Kubernetes (HA deployments, troubleshooting)
- Good understanding of storage technologies (NFS, SAN, HCI)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Expertise in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
- Incident management in 24/7 production environments
- Working knowledge of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Network troubleshooting and infrastructure resilience
- Database exposure: SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB in HA environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Chaos Engineering
- Infrastructure security best practices
- Configuration tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
- Git & version control for managing infra-as-code
- Background in Telco/Service Provider-grade environments
Shift Timings
- Morning: 6 AM – 2 PM
- Afternoon: 2 PM – 10 PM
- Night: 10 PM – 6 AM
(Rotational 24x7 Support)
