Job Description

Rackspace Technology is hiring AWS Cloud Engineer II for its Fanatical Support™ team in India. Join a dynamic global cloud support team that helps enterprises scale and optimize their cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you’ll help customers deploy, monitor, and manage cloud workloads using modern automation tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. You’ll deliver top-notch support by applying best practices in cloud-native architecture, infrastructure as code, and cost-efficient cloud scaling.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support AWS cloud environments for Rackspace clients
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
• Troubleshoot performance, availability, and network-related issues
• Configure cloud backups, monitoring, and patching mechanisms
• Handle ticket queues and support customers via phone and email
• Collaborate with other technical teams to escalate and resolve incidents
• Apply cloud application design principles for scalability and resilience
• Contribute to peer reviews, team knowledge sharing, and mentoring

Skills & Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, VPC, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch
• Good understanding of cloud architecture, CI/CD, and cloud application design patterns
• Experience with Linux or Windows server administration
• Intermediate knowledge of networking: VLANs, routing, ACLs, Load Balancing
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
• Ability to troubleshoot degraded performance and service outages
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
• Experience with automation tools and DevOps environments
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless architecture
