About the Role:
Join Optum, a global leader in health technology, and contribute to building scalable Java-based solutions for complex healthcare systems. As a Java Software Engineer, you'll work on backend systems like Claims Highway and CCAM, using Spring Boot and modern cloud infrastructure tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle software engineering: from requirements and design to development and testing
• Build reusable frameworks and Spring Boot components
• Optimize for low latency and performance
• Support and debug production issues
• Develop RESTful APIs
• Work with MySQL, DB2, Postgres, and other RDBMS
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, XL Deploy, JPAC
• Design and maintain secure, compliant cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Stay current with trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and microservices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT or related field
• 1+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development
• Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Batch
• Understanding of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiar with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• CI/CD knowledge: Jenkins, Gradle, Maven
• RDBMS experience: MySQL, DB2, Postgres, Oracle
• Familiar with Linux/Unix, scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Good communication and collaboration skills
