OPT IT – Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, India
Experience: 2+ Years
Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Enhance infrastructure and improve CI/CD pipelines and scripts.
• Manage Dev, QA, and PreProd environments across different teams.
• Automate manual tasks using Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
• Monitor production environments and identify performance issues.
• Maintain and document current infrastructure and recommend future improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide feedback to development, QA, and product teams.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• 2+ years of proven experience with AWS.
• 2+ years of experience as a system administrator.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Unix system internals.
• Solid grasp of cloud networking concepts.
• Experience in systems monitoring design and implementation.
• Proven experience owning and maintaining production systems.
• Knowledge of production system security and protection.

Technical Skills:

• AWS
• Linux
• Scripting (Python, Shell)
• Ansible
• APM (Application Performance Monitoring)
• New Relic

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of Observability stack: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana
