Job Description:

NVIDIA is seeking a talented and experienced Senior System Software Engineer to join its GPU Firmware team. You will play a key role in designing and developing the secure and efficient boot firmware powering the world's best GPUs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and optimize GPU firmware across its lifecycle
• Create secure and innovative boot software solutions under tight resource constraints
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, OS vendors, business teams)
• Develop build systems and improve regression test frameworks
• Ensure firmware complies with security standards like NIST and Open Compute Project
• Drive secure firmware development, including cryptography, authentication, and chain-of-trust
• Align GPU firmware features with customer security requirements
• Improve hardware-level GPU security

Required Skills:

• Proficient in C programming
• Strong understanding of secure software principles
• Firmware or BIOS development experience
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with x86 assembly, PCI/PCIe architecture
• Understanding of display protocols (HDMI, DP, VGA/VESA)
• Familiarity with MCTP, PLDM, SPDM protocols
• UEFI development experience
