Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer - Infrastructure at Nordex Group, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing backend IT systems critical for wind farm deployment and updates. You’ll be responsible for automating system administration tasks, ensuring high system availability, and optimizing the infrastructure for security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and improve backend systems for wind farm deployment
• Automation & Optimization: Automate administrative tasks to enhance security, performance, and uptime
• Security Focus: Conduct threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and implement security patches
• CI/CD Support: Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
• Infrastructure Hardening & Scalability: Develop concepts for hardening infrastructure and improving observability
• Lab Support: Ensure smooth operation of testing and development environments

Qualifications & Skills:

• Linux Expertise: Strong experience with Debian, Ubuntu, Proxmox
• Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Ansible, Bash, Python
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker, LXD
• IaC Knowledge: Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible for infrastructure automation
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools for tracing, metrics, and logging
• CI/CD Pipelines: Familiar with GitLab, GitHub, and version control systems
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with Azure Portal & DevOps
• Provisioning: Proficiency in Cloud-Init and related tools
• System Reliability: Understanding software architecture for reliability
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of MinIO, Apache, Nginx, Ubuntu repositories, and Ansible Galaxies
• Languages: Fluent in English (German and Spanish are a plus)
