Role Overview

As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and observability of transaction processing and settlement systems across on-premises and cloud environments. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about cloud computing, automation, infrastructure reliability, and DevOps practices.

You’ll work closely with global teams, using enterprise tools to optimize uptime, streamline CI/CD, and enhance monitoring and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and reliability of production systems across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Monitor and automate applications using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds, and AppDynamics.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Manage and renew SSL certificates for application security.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to optimize system performance and deployments.
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Use ServiceNow or JIRA for incident and task management.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat web servers.
• Support middleware platforms such as ActiveBatch, RabbitMQ, UiPath, and Tibco.
• Follow security best practices and address system vulnerabilities.
• Assist in infrastructure design, capacity planning, and release management.
• Participate in 24×7 operations and provide on-call support for production systems.
• Contribute to audit readiness, patching, and configuration management.
• Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and performance metrics to reduce incident frequency.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Financial Services or Settlement Systems.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure: networking, operating systems, hardware, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, SolarWinds, or NewRelic.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change control.
• Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Operations, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies, networking, and monitoring frameworks.
• Exposure to production environments and automation frameworks is preferred.
• Willingness to work in 24×7 support shifts and continuously learn new technologies.
