Job Description:
NatWest Group is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer at the Associate Vice President level. This role involves managing and delivering resilient, stable, and highly available production systems. You will identify and automate manual processes, improve observability, and ensure the highest standards in IT Security, Compliance, and Service Reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

System Stability & Reliability:

• Manage end-to-end availability and performance of critical applications
• Respond to incidents, lead resolution efforts, and perform root cause analysis
• Improve release quality and reduce customer-impacting issues

Automation & Observability:

• Automate tasks related to deployment and maintenance
• Implement observability tools like Grafana, Log Analytics, Application Insights
• Define metrics and alerts based on critical customer journeys

Tech Stack Management:

• Work on .NET, JavaScript, Azure, GitLab, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, Angular
• Evaluate and improve full-stack infrastructure and CI/CD practices
• Support hybrid and cloud-native deployments

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure systems meet IT Security and ITIL-based compliance standards
• Prevent compliance breaches through best practices and automation
• Monitor and improve system resilience

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years in live production support and SRE roles
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud and observability stacks
• Ability to code, test, scan, and deploy applications (.NET/JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure Pipelines)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, secure system design, and compliance
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration
